Samsung launched the Galaxy M02 in India in early February. Just a month later, the handset’s price was increased. Now, four months from that, the smartphone gets yet another price hike. Let’s take a look at how much the device now costs in the country.

The Samsung Galaxy M02 sold in India comes in two variants – 2GB + 32GB and 3GB + 32GB. They debuted at ₹6,999 and ₹7,499 respectively.

As mentioned earlier, the handset got its first price hike a little over a month from its announcement. The device price was increased by ₹500. Hence, it had been selling for ₹7,499 and ₹7,999 since then.

Now, once again, the Galaxy M02 receives a price hike of ₹500. As a result, the phone now retails at ₹7,999 and ₹8,499 for the 2GB + 32GB and 3GB 32GB storage configurations respectively.

Some of the highlights of the Galaxy M02 include a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD screen, MediaTek MT6739W SoC, 13MP (wide) + 2MP (macro) dual-camera setup, 5MP selfie camera, and 5,000mAh battery.

It is worth noting that Samsung is not the only company to increase the price of its smartphones as well as TVs in recent times. Almost all phone and TV brands have hiked the price of their certain products due to a shortage of supplies.

Unfortunately, it’s not clear when the situation will improve. Hopefully, it does sooner than later as it could affect the demand in India, which in return could further harm the country’s economy.
