Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has extended the reach of its Mi Smart Steam Oven to the Philippines. The smart oven was first launched in China last year under the moniker MIJIA Smart Oven. The Pinoy launch is an indication that the smart oven will be launched in other markets soon. India may be one of its next ports of call.
Xiaomi has continued to expand its lineup of smart gadgets across several segments of the tech firmament, and the Mi Smart Steam Oven, which features a 30L compartment and packs 1,200W of power, provides a wide range of cooking solutions to users in an intelligent manner. The Xiaomi Mi Smart Steam Oven is indeed a smart addition to any kitchen. It is an electric steam oven with five steaming and cleaning modes, making it possible for the user to have an exciting cooking experience. The cooking modes are Regular Steaming, Pure Steaming, Slow Cooked, Fermented, and Dehydrated modes. These cooking modes offer a wide range of options that makes it possible to have crisply cooked or baked foods.
The steam oven can serve as a fryer without even vegetable or other cooking oils, thereby reducing cholesterol intake in our food. The smart steam oven can steam, bake, simmer the food, ferment, and dehydrate food through its temperature control mechanism and the strong thermal circulation fan. It also comes with an easily replaceable water filter cartridge and a bottom pullout 1.2-liter water tank to modulate the device’s temperature.
The Xiaomi Mi Smart Steam Oven’s five cleaning modes ensure that the oven is kept clean and hygienically safe for cooking foods. The cleaning modes include Oven Cavity, Machine Cleaning, Pipeline Cleaning, Deep Cleaning, and Scale Cleaning. These cleaning modes combine to give the smart electric steam oven a neat and safe look always. In addition, the device’s door is protected by three layers of insulated glass and low-emissivity glass within.
The exciting smart and versatile electric oven is now available for Php 14,645 ($293) from the Official Mi Store Philippines and a few other designated outlets across the country. This is a smart electric oven and so, can be operated via the Mi Home app on Android or iOS devices.
