Vivo has just recently held a new online product launch conference. In this, the company announced the Vivo S10 series, which debuted with the new photochromic process on its rear panels that apparently took three years to develop.
As per official notes, the S10 series uses the new photochromic technology that enables it to change from its ice blue color with an orange hue to “Klein blue” in just three seconds under direct sunlight. Although, once the device is taken away from sunlight, it gradually reverts back to its original color. Now, the Chinese smartphone maker’s product manager, Han Boxiao has revealed that this process has been in development since the previously launched X27 series.
In other words, the brand has been working on this technology for around three years. So, we might also see the company include this technology in its future offerings. Other vendors could possibly also include this feature sometime in the near future as well. Talking about the S10 series, the device sports a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC under the hood, with a 44 megapixel dual camera sensor on the front and is powered by a 4,050mAh battery pack that supports 44W fast charging.
