POCO held a launch event today to announce the POCO X3 GT smartphone. Soon after the launch, POCO India Director Anuj Sharma took to Twitter to confirm that the POCO X3 GT will not be launching in India.

Sharma claimed that the company released two unmatched products such as the POCO X3 Pro and POCO F3 GT in India this year and it does not want to create confusion in the portfolio for consumers by releasing the POCO X3 GT.

Skipping the X3 GT in India allows POCO to focus on its ‘Everything You Need, Nothing You Don’t’ motto by offering a streamlined product portfolio. Sharma further said that the company has big plans for India but did not divulge any information on the forthcoming products for the country.
