Earlier, we reported that Xiaomi is preparing to launch a new color of the Redmi Note 10S in the market. Today, Xiaomi Malaysia has officially announced the Note 10S in the new Starlight Purple shade.
The new color has broadened the already available color portfolio of Onyx Gray, Ocean Blue, and Pebble White colors. The Redmi Note 10S Starlight Purple is priced at RM899(~$212) and will go on sale starting August 3.
The Starlight Purple boasts a sparkling-like design at the rear. Although it looks alluring and differs significantly from the other colors, the internal specs remain unchanged.
The smartphone has a 6.43-inch punch-hole display with a Full-HD+ resolution. It has a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a pixel density of 409 PPI. It has a 20:9 aspect ratio and 450 nits of brightness.
Upfront, it has a 13-megapixel selfie shooter placed at the top center. It has a quad-camera system at the rear with a 64-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and lastly a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G95 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device has a microSD card slot for additional storage. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The device has IP53 certification and runs on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 OS. As for security, it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and support for Face unlock.
