Nokia has just launched a new mid range smartphone in Kenya. The new handset is the Nokia X20, which will be available in the region in a two storage variant but will arrive without a charger.
The news regarding the Finnish smartphone maker doesn’t arrives as a surprise considering the company did announce that it will not be shipping the smartphone with a charger in certain markets like Europe. Furthermore, it had also stated that the move is to reduce the electronic waste since many users already have chargers at home. Talking about the specs of the device, the Nokia X20 sports a 6.67 inch FHD+ display with a 32 megapixel punch ole selfie camera on the front.
On the rear, the handset features a 64 megapixel triple camera setup with a 2 megapixel macro lens and 2 megapixel depth sensor. Under the hood, it houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC which is paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM along with 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded via a MicroSD card slot. It is powered by a large 4,470mAh battery pack that supports 18W charging through a USB Type C port.
The Nokia X20 runs Android 11 OS out of the box and has a 3.5mm headphone jack, features 5G support, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and more. The device will be available in Kenya for a starting price of 40,000 KES (roughly 365 US Dollars) and will be available through local stores as well.
