Vivo is reportedly working on a new Vivo Y-series phone called the Vivo Y21s. As the name suggests, it could be a tweaked version of the recently unveiled Vivo Y21 handset. It appears that the arrival of the Y21s may not be far away as it has received approval from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

The Vivo Y21s moniker for the Vivo phone with V2110 model number when it appeared at the Global Certification Forum (GCF) earlier this month. The same device has now appeared at the FCC with a few specs (via).

The FCC listing reveals the V2110 phone measures 164.26 x 76.08 x 8mm and weighs around 180 grams. It offers a few connectivity features like dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS/GLONASS/BDS/Galileo. The support for the ‘BK-C2’ model charging cable and the ‘XE610’ model earphone suggests that it will come equipped with a USB-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack. The listing further reveals it is powered by a 4,910mAh rated (5,000mAh typical value) battery.

The Y21s was spotted at the Geekbench benchmarking site with a few specs such as the Helio G80 chipset, 4 GB of RAM, and Android 11 OS. The other specifications of the Y21s are under wraps. Its dimensions that were found through the FCC listing suggest that its design could be almost identical to the Y21. Hence, it is likely to house a 6.51-inch teardrop notch display. Now that the Vivo Y21s has bagged FCC certification, it may go official in the next few weeks. At present, it is unclear which markets will be receiving the device.
