TCL has introduced a new smartphone called the FFALCON Thunderbird FF1 in China. The new mid-range phone offers exciting features like a high refresh rate display with dual punch-hole cutout, a 64-megapixel triple camera unit, a Dimensity 9-series chip, up to 256 GB of storage, and a decent battery with fast charging capabilities.

The FFALCON Thunderbird FF1 has a 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel that offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The pill-shaped camera cutout on the display houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

The square camera module placed at the FFALCON Thunderbird FF1’s back houses a 64-megapixel main camera with an f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultrawide snapper, and a 2-megapixel depth assist lens. The handset boots to Android 11 OS.

The FF1 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 5G chipset and 8 GB of RAM. It comes in 128 GB and 256 GB storage choices. It is backed by a 4,300mAh battery that supports 66W rapid charging. The other features that are available on the device include dual SIM support, 5G/4G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a USB-C port.

FFALCON Thunderbird FF1 price and availability

The 128 GB and 256 GB variants of the FFALCON Thunderbird FF1 are priced at 2,499 Yuan (~$386) and 2,799 Yuan (~$432), respectively. It will be available for purchase starting from Sept. 10 in China. It is unclear if TCL has any plans to release the FF1 outside the home market.
