What is believed to be the batteries for the Samsung Galaxy S22+ and S22 Ultra have been certified by China’s 3C. The two batteries appear for certification with the model numbers EB-BS906ABY and is said to be for the Galaxy S22+ while the second cell has the model number EB-BS908ABY and is for the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
According to the certification listing, the EB-BS906ABY has a rated capacity of 4,370mAh which puts the typical capacity at 4,500mAh. This rating is slightly lower than the 4800mAh capacity onboard the Galaxy S21+. Also, the EB-BS908ABY features a capacity of 4,855 mAh putting the typical capacity at 5,000 mAh. The capacity matche that of this year’s Galaxy S21 Ultra.
Curiosly, the vanilla Galaxy S22 wasn’t listed on the 3C website. Popular tipster Ice Universe had earlier disclosed that the Galaxy S22 will utilize a 3,800mAh battery, smaller than the 4000mAh cell on the Galaxy S21.
Earlier in February this year, a Samsung 65W charger was certified by TUV SUD in Germany. Before the certification Samsung had only used 45W chargers on its previous models, precisely on the Galaxy Note10+, Galaxy S20 Ultra with the other models in the S21 series having a maximum of 25W charging support. With the new charging brick with model number EP-TA865, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to feature 65W charging support.
