Xiaomi‘s partner Segway-Ninebot has been relatively quiet this year with just a few new products released so far. Perhaps, that is because the company is busy cooking up an interesting product. The company has now unveiled a new robot lawnmower dubbed Segway Navimow.
The robot mower is touted as the world’s first ultra-quiet boundary intelligent lawn mowing robot. The robot eliminates the stressful procedure involved in manually pushing a mower. Even a self-propelled or riding lawn mower will need a human in the driver’s seat. But this robot mower can do the job by itself once a path is set for it via the app. It will also improve the efficiency of the mowing by up to six times.
Navimow adopts the EFLS (Exact Fusion Locating System) fusion positioning system, using the satellite signal of the global positioning system, through RTK (real-time differential positioning) to achieve centimeter-level outdoor precise positioning, can independently plan the optimal working path, and easily have a carpet-like level Beautiful lawn garden.
In addition, Navimow also integrates a variety of other sensor information to assist positioning, such as inertial navigation, odometer, geomagnetic information, differential barometer, etc., and it can operate stably even when the satellite signal is temporarily weak.
Its original blade stop technology can better protect playful cute babies or pets. It is also equipped with an ultrasonic sensor, which can perceive the surrounding environment in real-time, avoid obstacles safely and avoid collisions.
Segway stated that the highest decibel when Navimow is in use is only 54 decibels, which is lower than most 60 decibels in the industry and 4 decibels lower than the currently lowest level of 58 decibels in the market.
According to different mowing areas, Navimow provides four models to choose from, corresponding to a range of 500-3000 square meters of lawn. The four models in the range are the Segway Navimow H500E, H800E, H1500E, and H3000E.
The Segway Navimow is expected to go on sale next year. The H500E is priced at €1,199, the H800E will retail for €1,499 while the H1500E and H3000E will sell for €1,999, and €2,499 respectively.
