OSCAL the new entrant in the smartphone business has launched its first mainstream smartphone called OSCAL C20. Priced at less than $60, the OSCAL 20 is a fancy device offering decent performance, especially targeted at the youth.

As per OSCAL, the company is committed to bringing the latest technology to everyone by launching competitively priced products and focuses on performance, design, quality, and service. The recently launched OSCAL Tablet with budget-friendly pricing has been doing decent in the market, and with the OSCAL C20 3G, the company is slowly stepping into the smartphone industry.

OSCAL C20 Specifications

The OSCAL C20 takes inspiration from iPhones and features a minimalist back panel crafted with a sophisticated matte finish delivering a premium feel. It comes in 4 catchy colours marketed as Airy Blue, Apple Green, Lavender Purple, and Midnight Black. Coming to the dimensions, it’s 155.4mm long and 73.3mm wide. In layman’s terms, the C20 is moderately sized being 9.75mm thick and weighs at just 152g. The unibody design with curved edges ensures a better experience while in hand.

Boasting a 6.088-inch waterdrop in-cell display, it offers a full-screen design with up to 85% screen-to-body ratio. So, the viewing experience is guaranteed to be much better than its rivals. The panel is of HD quality and you can view online videos with 720p Quality Settings.

Keeping the lights on is a 3380mAh large battery, so you should get an All-Day battery life with light to moderate usage. As per the internal testings, the phone is able to support up to 4hrs of gaming, 8hrs of web browsing, 5hrs of continuous video streaming, 24hrs of music playing, and 16 days of standby time. That’s more than what a normal human would do in a day.

At its heart, beats the decent Unisoc SC7731E quad-core processor offering improvements of performance by 20% and reduced energy consumption by 30%. With the SoC, the usual apps should load fast, and streaming content or movies should be flawless. Moreover, 32GB of ROM and 128GB expandable storage make sure you never run out of space.

The Latest Android 11 GO OS

Google introduced the GO platform a couple of generations ago. The latest GO Edition of OS – Android 11 Go OS is pre-installed in the C20. With the built-in App Freezer, you can one click to stop background running of rogue apps to consume less running memory and boost operation fluidity and efficiency. Furthermore, the UI is optimized with exquisite app icons and wallpapers for better viewing. 

Now coming to the cameras. The OSCAL C20 packs a total of 5MP rear cameras out of the box. Don’t expect flagship-level performances but we reckon the C20 will meet your normal photography needs unless you are a pro. The camera modes include; Panorama, Time-lapse, and professional mode. While on the front, a 2MP selfies shooter will let you capture decent selfies, do video callings, and face unlock.
