Transsion Holding subsidiary Infinix has finally launched the much-anticipated Zero X series smartphones. The series is made up of the Zero X, Zero X Pro, and Zero X Neo. The three smartphones stand out in the photography segment as they emerge as the first Infinix models to feature periscope lenses. Infinix Zero X series

The three smartphones are equipped with 5x optical zoom and 60x digital zoom which makes them all capable of capturing a Moon shot.  Infinix also included a new camera algorithm which it dubbed the Galileo Engine. The engine controls the camera while capturing images of the Moon. It then processes the data and outputs the best result.Infinix Zero X series

In terms of the configuration, the Infinix Zero X shares the same screen size as the Zero X Pro.  The duo presents with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate support. On its part, the Zero X Neo features a larger 6.78-inch LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate.Infinix Zero X series

All three smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Helio G95 chipset built on a 12nm process and featuring two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.05GHz. The chipset also pairs with a Mali-G76 MC4 GPU. The processor ordinarily supports a 90Hz refresh rate but is bundled with MediaTek’s Intelligent Display chipset which brings support for a higher refresh rate. The processor is paired with 8GB RAM on all three models with UFS 2.2 storage.

On the camera aspect, the three models have different setups. The Zero X Pro lives up to its name with a 108MP sensor equipped with OIS. The vanilla Zero X uses a 64MP sensor also equipped with OIS while the Zero X Neo packs a 48MP main sensor but doesn’t have OIS. The three phones feature an 8MP periscope lens and an 8MP ultrawide sensor that doubles as a macro shooter. The selfie camera is also the same 16MP shooter with dua-LED flash on all three.

Keeping the lights on is a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W charging on the X Neo. While the Zero X and X Pro both pack a 4,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. The charger is said to be capable of going from 0% to 40% in 15 minutes.

For interface, the trio runs on the latest Android 11-based custom UI XOS 7.6. While the Pro model is available 128GB and 256 GB options, the X and X Neo only come in 128GB options. The Zero X Pro will be available in Nebula Black, Starry Silver, and Tuscany Brow while the vanilla Zero X will come in Black and Silver. The Zero X Neo will be available in Black, Silver, and Bahamas Blue.

Infinix is yet to reveal the prices of the models but they are expected to go on sale in Nigeria, Thailand, Indonesia, Egypt, and other regions soon.
