The mobile port of LoL (League of Legends) is finally making its way to China. Riot’s popular MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) title will be available in the region starting from September 15.

The announcement was made on the official Weibo account of League of Legends: Wild Rift earlier today (14th September 2021). The mobile port of the popular title received the approval this week by China’s National Press and Publication Administration. At the moment, League of Legends: Wild Rift was already available in the country before for testing, but now, the game will finally be getting a wider beta launch with users not losing any of their progress or data.

As of right now, LoL is one of the most played competitive multiplayer title in the world and is also quite popular in China. In recent years, the mobile gaming industry has seen huge growth and it seems that Riot has plans to branch into it as well. Even prior to its official launch in the nation, an esports scene has already began within China by TJ Sport, which also conducts the LPL AKA Pro League. The LPL organizations has also begun signing rosters in Wild Rift, with the qualifiers starting from September 11.
