In August 2020, Redmi G debuted as the brand’s first gaming laptop. More than a year later, the sub-brand of Xiaomi announces the arrival of this notebook’s successor called Redmi G 2021. The first-ever teaser for the new Redmi gaming laptop reveals the launch date as well as hints at its pricing.

Earlier today, the official Mi Notebook Weibo account dropped the first teaser for Redmi G 2021. According to the post, this notebook will be unveiled on September 22.
Further, the post says that Redmi’s new mission is to ‘popularize high-end products’. The forthcoming gaming laptop will offer ‘invincible high-performance’ so that gamers can have better gameplay.
Therefore, the upcoming Redmi G gaming laptop could come with much better hardware than its predecessor. As a result, we can also expect it to cost more.
For those unaware, the original Redmi G comes in three variants. The base and mid variants are powered by 10th Gen Intel Core i5 H-series processors, while the top model features an i7 chip. Further, the base model has an NVIDIA GTX 1650 GPU, whereas the latter sport a GTX 1650 Ti.
Since Redmi has confirmed that the new Redmi G 2021 gaming laptop will be a high-end offering, at least one of the variants could arrive with an Intel Core i9 processor.
Having said that, as we are still a week away from the announcement, we expect Redmi to tease most of the features of its yet-to-release notebook in the coming days.
