A recent leak claimed that Motorola is planning to launch a new tablet in India. It appears that the launch date of the Motorola tablet is drawing near as its teaser confirms that it will be announced during the upcoming Flipkart Big Billion Days sale. The teaser confirms that Motorola’s upcoming tablet will be called the Moto Tab 8. It also suggests that it could be a rebranded version of an existing Lenovo tablet.

The Moto Tab M8’s image on Flipkart has no information on its specs. It only mentions that it will be a suitable device for entertainment and education. The appearance of the tablet suggests that it could be a rebranded version of the Lenovo Tab M8 (FHD).

According to 91mobiles, the Moto Tab 8 will debut in October and will offer a stock Android experience. With the launch of the Tab 8, Motorola will be making its comeback to the Indian tablet market. Probably, it will carry a sub-Rs 20,000 (~$271) pricing in India. The last time it launched a tablet in the country was back in 2017 when it announced the Moto Tab in 2017, which did not help the brand in gaining popularity in the tablet market.

Moto Tab 8 specifications (expected)

The Moto Tab 8 is expected to borrow all its specs from the Lenovo Tab M8 (FHD). It features an 8-inch IPS LCD panel that offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels. It has a front camera of 5-megapixel and a rear-facing camera of 13-megapixel.

The Helio P22T powered Tab M8 (FHD) comes in two variants such as 2 GB RAM + 16 GB storage and 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage. For additional storage, it has a microSD card slot. It is equipped with a 5,100mAh battery.
