At the recent Honor Smart Life event in China, the newly independent company has officially announced the Honor Vision X2 series of smart TVs in its home country. Along with these smart TV models, the brand has also launched a few other products.

The Honor Vivion X2 Smart TV comes in three different sizes — 43-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch. All three models come with 4K UHD screens with 92 percent DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, a 25 percent increase over the first generation panels.

It is HDR10 compliant and comes with anti-aliasing optimization, NR noise reduction, and a few other functions. It has also passed the German Rheinland non-flicker certification and Rheinland low blue light eye protection certification.

The smart TV has an independent large sound cavity design and is claimed to be able to communicate with four major video platforms. There’s also smart far-field voice control, and support for features like multi-screen collaboration, multi-terminal collaboration, low latency, and higher picture quality.

Under the hood, they are powered by a MediaTek chipset which packs four Cortex-A53 cores and a Mali-G52 MC1 graphics processor. As for the memory, the TVs come with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

The device packs a dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) WLAN chip with a 2×2 MIMO antenna for high-speed internet connectivity. It is equipped with a self-developed Cast + Projection protocol that can reduce projection delay by more than 60 percent. There are also USB-A and HDMI ports along with RJ-45.

The Honor Vision X2 models come with the company’s own Magic UI out-of-the-box which the company says brings an immersive and ultimate user experience. It’s not yet confirmed if the Magic UI is based on HarmonyOS or the Android operating system. Its predecessor was the first Smart TV to be running Huawei’s HarmonyOS but now that Honor is a separate entity, it could be using Android this time.

Now, coming to the pricing and availability details, the 43-inch model is priced at 1,799 yuan (~$279) while the 55-inch model is priced at 2,699 yuan (~$418). On the other hand, the 65-inch model costs 3,499 yuan (~$542) and all three models will be available for purchase from 18th October in China.
