Apple recently launched its latest iPhone 13 series smartphones in several different markets globally. The phone has already become quite popular and the shipment dates have not been pushed to late October.

The reason for the popularity of the new iPhone models is the top-notch offering, not just for the performance but also the display panel. DisplayMate has now awarded the iPhone 13 Pro Mac as the “Bst Smartphone Display Award” with the highest-ever display performance grade of A+.

This time, the display panel of the iPhone 13 Pro series models features a new Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion, which basically means that it comes with support for variable refresh rates between 10Hz and 120Hz, depending on the type of content being displayed on the screen.

It also offers the highest ever brightness for smartphones with OLED panels, says the report from DisplayMate. The iPhone 13 Pro Max is said to have a peak brightness of 1,000 nits for typical content and 1,200 nits for HDR content. It also set records for the highest absolute color accuracy, highest contrast ratio, lowest screen reflectance, and more.

For the uninitiated, South Korean tech giant Samsung is exclusively supplying the LTPO OLED panels for the iPhone 13 Pro Max model so far. But if the reports are to be believed, then LG is also expected to start supplying LTPO OLED screens next year.

The usage of LTPO technology would result in a more power-efficient backplane, which is responsible for turning individual pixels on and off on the display, allowing for a 120Hz refresh rate without a significant impact on battery life.
