Last month, OPPO unveiled ColorOS 12 based on Android 12 in China. According to the update schedule shared by the company, the flagship OPPO Find X3 series and the OnePlus 9 series, which were part of the ‘Early Access’ program are supposed to receive public beta builds in October. As we have now entered the said month, the firm has already opened as well as closed registrations for the first batch in China.

According to the official Weibo account of ColorOS, the registrations for the first batch of ColorOS 12 Public Beta update for the OPPO Find X3 series and the OnePlus 9 series went live in China yesterday at 11 AM (local time). The registrations have already closed exactly 24 hours later earlier today.

The company recruited testers for the following devices.

  • OPPO Find X3 Pro Mars Exploration Edition
  • OPPO Find X3 Pro
  • OPPO Find X3
  • OnePlus 9 Pro
  • OnePlus 9

Applicants who get selected are said to receive the beta build via OTA in the coming days. Although the Weibo post does not mention anything, there should be more batches of recruitment in the coming days.

The above-listed phones should receive ColorOS 12 (Android 12) stable build very soon if the public testers don’t find major issues. That said, the next batch of smartphones to enter the public testing phase in November includes the OPPO Find X2 series and the OPPO Reno6 series.
