Motorola has been on a release spree in recent times and the tech giant has got a couple of affordable models lined up for release in the coming weeks. The Lenovo-owned brand has now announced the Moto E40, the latest offering in the E-series. Motorola Moto E40

The Moto E40 is coming on the heels of the launch of the Moto E20 and it features a slightly higher specs lineup than the E20. In terms of specifications, the Moto E20 packs a 6.5-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution. The display features a 90Hz refresh rate as well as a punch-hole design housing the selfie camera.

The sleek smartphone is powered by a Unisoc T700 processor paired with 4GB RAM. The model will be available in a sole 64GB storage which is expandable via microSD card. The E40 crams a 5,000mAh battery under the hood which Motorola touts to last for two days. The battery charges via a USB-C port.  moto e40

The Moto E40 packs a triple camera setup at the rear aligned vertically. The main camera is a 48MP sensor paired with a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth of field sensor. The back panel is made of plastic with a grooved design to promote easier grip and reduce incidences of fingerprint smudges. The back panel also contains the iconic Moto logo that is designed to double as the rear fingerprint scanner.

For selfies, the device packs an 8MP front-facing shooter. On the software side, the device runs on Moto’s MyUX based on Android 11 OS.Moto E40

There is no word yet on the pricing and availability but the device is expected to be unveiled for the Indian market on October 12. It comes in two color options — Carbon Gray and Pink Clay colors.
