The Mecha Kit offers support for remotely controlling the vehicle via connection to the Segway-Ninebot mobile app. The kit’s frame is sturdy enough to carry passengers up to 100 kg. The Segway Mecha Kit has RGB under glow lighting that could be customized and offer music playback functionality via the built-in Bluetooth in the transporter.

For environmental activities, Segway insists that the gel bullets are environmentally friendly. The gel evaporates to a powder with no trace of the stuff left behind. The package comes with 60,000 gel bubbles which may be replenished when exhausted. The refill process is however yet to be specified by Segway.

The Segway Mecha Kit is priced at $599 but it is currently available for a discounted price of $499 from Segway-Ninebot’s website. It is possible to have the Mecha Kit together with the Ninebot S or S Kids scooter, and this could extend the price to around $1,000. The user manual is also included on the package and also via the product page. It however remains to be seen what will be the reception that the new Mecha Kit will get in the market.
