The OnePlus 9RT was unveiled in China in October and offered a number of upgraded specs over the OnePlus 9R that was released in April this year. A Google Play Console listing previously revealed that the phone has been rebranded as the OnePlus RT for India. As for the release date, it was revealed only today that the phone would be launched next month in the country.
However, reliable tipster Max Jambor has now given out the exact release date for the same, putting all other rumors to rest. According to him, the OnePlus RT will be launching on December 16 in India, which comes in just 20 days from now. Another tipster had revealed that the device will be available in Nano Silver and Hacker Black color options in the country.

As for specs, it is quite obvious that the OnePlus RT will be coming with a spec sheet identical to the Chinese OnePlus 9RT. Therefore, the phone will feature a 6.62-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits peak brightness, HDR10+ certification, and a 600Hz touch sampling rate. It will be equipped with the Snapdragon 888 processor – a notable upgrade over the OnePlus 9R’s Snapdragon 870 – that has been paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
For photography, the OnePlus RT features a triple camera unit at the rear comprised of a 50MP primary + 16MP wide-angle + 2MP macro camera setup. On the front, you get a 16MP selfie snapper that’s housed within a left-aligned punch-hole. The battery size stands at 4,500mAh, which can be filled up rather quickly thanks to 65W fast charging support.
Do note that OnePlus is yet to announce an official release date for the OnePlus RT/OnePlus 9RT in India, so this piece of news should be taken with a pinch of salt.
