The Chinese smartphone maker, Blackview has slashed the prices of three of its rugged smartphone models that feature a thermal camera.

The Blackview BV9900 Pro, which usually retails for $549.99, is now available for a mere $399.99! The BV9800 Pro has received a similar discount bringing its price down from $500 to $369.99. And their latest budget-oriented offering in the rugged thermal smartphone segment, the BV6600 Pro, which retails for $400, is now available at $249.99. These special prices can be availed on multiple platforms, including the official Blackview store and Aliexpress.

But which of these smartphones is best suited for your needs? The phone is especially thin when compared to other smartphones in the rugged segment and weighs 237g.  It comes with a 5.84-inch FHD+ IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5, providing a 2280 x 1080 pixels resolution, and features a waterdrop notch.

Under the hood, the BV9900 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Helio P90 processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 memory, expandable via a micro-sd card. The phone runs on Android 10 OS and is powered by a 4380mAh battery which supports 18W wired and 10W wireless charging.

When it comes to photography, the device features a 48MP Sony IMX582 Exmor RS as its primary sensor, a 5MP depth camera, and a 2MP macro lens. The fourth lens present on the rear of this device is a FLIT Lepton 5MP Thermal imaging camera. The rugged phone also houses a 16MP Samsung ISOCELL sensor as a selfie snapper.

The device styles a rugged and robust design with a Metal rear camera module and metal side frames, making it 14.8mm thick. The back is made of double-shot molding TPU with aesthetically pleasing engraved lines. The device comes with a 6.3-inch FHD+ IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5, providing a 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution, and features a waterdrop notch.

The BV6600 Pro is the most affordable rugged smartphone featuring a thermal imaging camera. The device features the same design profile as the rugged BV9800 Pro. It has nano-injection molding aluminum alloy side frames fixed with screws on each side. The top and bottom ends are covered with silica gel & PC that seamlessly extends to the textured back where on the upper side locates a uniquely hexagon-shaped camera metal module, and on the lower side is a lanyard hook providing convenience for climbing activities.

The display is a 5.7-inch HD+ panel with 1440×720 resolution. Under the hood, the device houses a MediaTek Helio P35, coupled with less storage, 4G RAM 64GB ROM, and is powered by a massive 8580mAh battery. For the camera set, it has a Samsung 16MP rear camera featuring PortraitColor mode, Mono mode, Beauty mode. The second lens present on the rear is the FLIT Lepton 5MP Thermal imaging camera.
