At the end of September, OPPO confirmed that it has plans to launch tablets and foldabes in its home country. A little over two months later, a tech influencer now says that the company’s tablet will be also available outside mainland China.

According to Mukul Sharma (via 91Mobiles), OPPO will launch its first tablet in India in the first half of 2021. Unfortunately, he doesn’t say whether the slate coming to India will be the same as the one set to release in China.

Since we are months away from the launch of this product, we are looking forward to learning more about it in the coming days. Hopefully, OPPO brings the same model, which it is anticipated to debut in its home country very soon.

According to previous reports, OPPO is rumored to call its tablet ‘OPPO Pad’, as per trademark filings. The device is said to arrive with an 11-inch display (LCD) with a 120Hz refresh rate.

It is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, just like the 2021 Lenovo Xiaoixn Pad Pro series and Xiaomi Pad 5 series. Other tipped features include a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP front-facing camera, and ColorOS 12 based on Android 12.

Last but not least, OPPO Pad is rumored to cost around ¥2,000 ($314) in China.
