OnePlus is apparently working on its first ever tablet. A new report revealed this information and even shared the possible launch timeline regarding the upcoming OnePlus Pad for the Indian market.
According to a 91Mobiles report, the Chinese smartphone maker is gearing up to enter the tablet segment for the first time next year. The company had expanded outside of smartphones, branching out to smart TV, audio based products, and more in recent times and it seems that the latest endeavor is set in the large screen category. Notably, the news also arrives as the brand also prepares for the announcement of its 2022 flagship OnePlus 10 series.
Now, tipster Mukul Sharma also revealed that the OEM will launch a new tablet as well. However, he did not reveal any information about how many models will be announced in China. Although, we do know that there is at least one model is arriving in India within the first half of 2022. The tipster also added that the new tablet will not be launching alongside the flagship 10 series, which is set to launch in the first quarter of next year.
Earlier this year, we had reported that the company may be planning on entering the tablet market. So, the new information is also in line with our previous article. Unfortunately, the Mukul Sharma did not reveal any finer details regarding the upcoming OnePlus Pad’s specifications or features.
