Indian electronics maker boAt has unveiled the Watch Iris, its first smartwatch that comes with a 1.39-inch high-definition round AMOLED display for the Indian market. The boAt Watch Iris will retail in India for Rs. 4,499 ($60). The boAt Watch Iris offers lots of activities like multiple watch faces, a comprehensive notification framework including calls, text messages, emails, and other alerts including alarms. The boAt Watch Iris is capable of testing human blood sugar levels through the SpO2 sensor and also provides 24-hour heart rate monitoring. It has a built-in 8 Active Sports Modes, offers an IP68 water resistance rating, and has up to 7 days of battery life. The sports mode include swimming, football, basketball, cycling, walking, running, and skipping.

The latest boAt smart wearable device, the Watch Iris is entering the smart wearables market at a time when there is a seeming explosion of a variety of smartwatches from different producers. The functionalities of these devices are increasingly linked to health and fitness and they offer life-saving tips.
