Back in October, iQOO released the Android 12 update plan for its iQOO phones. The iQOO Z5 was scheduled to get the update in December 2021, but it didn’t happen. Now, iQOO has officially pushed the Android 12-based Funtouch 12 beta update to Z5 handsets.
Do note that this is the public beta for the iQOO Z5 and not the stable version. The firmware version of the update is PD2148F_EX_36.9.2 and has a 5.08GB size. The update brings Android 12 and Funtouch OS features for a test. Soon, we expect to see the stable update getting rolled to devices across the world.

Previously, the iQOO Z3 launched last year received the Android 12-based Funtouch 12 update in December. It was sized at 4GB and brought improvements and changes to the widgets, stickers, and small window functionality.
Next up, as per the schedule, the iQOO 3 should be getting the update, but it is scheduled for late March this year.
