Skagen has launched the Falster Gen 6 smartwatch, a successor to the Falster 3. The Falster Gen 6 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 4100+ chip, offers fast charging functionality as well as an overall minimalist design. The Skagen Falster Gen 6 predecessor, the Skagen Falster 3, is equivalent to the Fossil Gen 5. Apart from its Snapdragon Wear 4100+ SoC, the Falster Gen 6 has 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and a 1.28-inch display. The display of the Falster Gen 6 is complemented by two physical buttons and a digital crown. The Falster Gen 6 runs on Wear OS2, like its Fossil counterpart that was released in 2021. It is speculated that the Falster Gen 6 will get the OS 3 upgrade around the middle of the year at the earliest.Skagen Falster Gen 6

The new smartwatch also has 5-ATM water resistance capability, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy connectivity, and an NFC chip. Some reviews have pointed out that the GPS, sleep tracking, and heart rate sensors of the Falster Gen 6 may not be accurate, while the 300mAh battery offers up to 24 hours of activity.Skagen Falster Gen 6

Skagen says the Falster Gen 6 is now available for orders while the first deliveries will be made at the end of January 2022. It remains to be seen what reception awaits the Falster Gen 6 in the respective markets in select European countries, Japan, and the UK.
