The development comes at a time when it is being said that the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will be the first smartphone from the lineup to go official next month. So, the launch of the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition and the REDMAGIC 7 could be at the same time, maybe a few days apart from each other’s launch event.

The REDMAGIC 7 smartphone has already appeared on TENAA, revealing some key specifications of the device. It features a 6.8-inch OLED display and has an in-screen fingerprint scanner. It will have support for a Full HD+ screen resolution and is speculated to have a higher 165Hz refresh rate.

It will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and is likely to come packed with up to 18GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. We are also expecting advanced cooling technology on the device for better performance.

In the camera department, the smartphone will have a triple-camera setup on the back, consisting of a 64-megapixel primary sensor. The leaked renders of the phone show vertically-aligned camera sensors in a strip placed at the top-center position.

We expect the smartphone to run the Android 12 operating system out-of-the-box with the company’s own custom user interface on top. The device may come powered by a 4,500mAh battery and have a massive 165W fast charging support.

It has also been reported that the REDMAGIC 7 could be offered in four colors — Black, Green, Red, and Blue Gradient. We expect the company to make an official announcement about the phone’s launch in the coming days.
