The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G first got treated to stable Android 12 last month but the release was limited to Asia and Europe. This changed last week with both models getting the same last week in the US. And now, Samsung has also started rolling out One UI 4 for the foldable duo in Canada, almost completing the rollout in the North American continent.
The update for the Galaxy Z Flip carries firmware version F700WVLU4FULA in Canada and is available across the Bell Mobile, Rogers, Telus, and Videotron carriers (via SamMobile).
Similarly, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G has gotten updated to version F707WVLU2EUL9 on almost all carriers including Bell Mobile, Fido Mobile, Koodo Mobile, Rogers, SaskTel, Telus, Videotron, and Virgin Mobile.
The only catch is that the update has given a miss to the latest February patch, coming with the one from December instead.
Regardless, if you haven’t received the OTA update yet, then you can perform a manual check by heading over to Settings > Software update.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G were launched back in 2020 with Android 10 based on One UI 2. Both devices have made it to the three-year Android upgrade support list, so they’ll also be getting Android 13 when it goes live. But let’s just leave that aside for now.
