BYD says the design philosophy of the Yuan Plus is based on a desire of the company to combine the spirit of athleticism and the beauty of music to deliver a vehicle that assures a remarkable driving experience that it says will awaken your wildest dreams. There are loads of music-related features within the interior of the Yuan Plus. Since January 1 when pre-orders opened for the Yuan Plus in China, the company says over 20,000 requests have been received for the two battery versions available. The 49.92 kWh version is priced from 144,274 yuan ($22,809) while the 60.48 kWh version starts from 154,274 yuan ($24,390).

As per the global distribution plans of BYD for the Yuan Plus, Australia and Singapore are already having pre-sales for the EV and the first deliveries will arrive within the second quarter and early Q3, 2022. The Australian version of the Yuan Plus is called ATTO and is covered by a 7-year or 160,000 km warranty on the battery. The Australian model indicates full compliance of BYD with extant regulations that will make the model easily exportable to Europe and other jurisdictions
