Japanese tech powerhouse Sony has unveiled its latest iteration of the PlayStation virtual reality headset called the PlayStation VR2 headset. The new device comes slimmer and more ergonomically engaging than its predecessor. The PlayStation VR2 headset is a bit lighter than its predecessor and also comes with some additional features. A built-in motor for headset feedback and a lens adjustment dial are some of the other features that are birthed on the device. A single cord setup will allow users of the VR2 headset to quickly set up the device. The panel display is an OLED with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and the VR2 provides a field of view that is approximately 110 degrees. There is a collection of several sensors for enhanced user experience including a gyroscope, motion sensors, and an IR proximity sensor.Sony PlayStation VR2 headset

The Sony PlayStation VR2 headset has 4 cameras in addition to an IR camera for eye tracking. The VR2 can be connected to the PS5 via its USB-C cable. The VR2 Sense controllers can be connected via Bluetooth 5.1 to the PS5 console and come with the needed complement of buttons for gaming. These are in addition to motion and capacitive sensors and trigger effect feedback.
