Redmi, the sub-brand of Xiaomi, is expected to launch the remaining models in the Redmi K50 series in March. Ahead of that, the vanilla and the Pro models recently leaked in renders revealing their design. Last evening, the brand’s general manager also hinted at the chipset powering one of these phones.
Yesterday, a netizen enquired about the availability of MediaTek Dimensity 9000-powered Redmi smartphone in the comment section of a post by Redmi GM Lu Weibing on Weibo. To this, the brand executive confirmed that the Redmi K50 series will carry the said chip.
For those unaware, the Dimensity 9000 SoC will make its debut on the OPPO Find X5 later today. The netizen also indirectly mentioned this in his comment.
Additionally, Digital Chat Station disclosed some key features of the upcoming Redmi K50 series with Dimensity 9000 chip earlier today. He says that this phone will arrive with 120W fast charging support, an x-axis vibration motor, stereo speakers tuned by JBL, and a good display.
Going by the renders shared by @OnLeaks, the Redmi K50 and the Redmi K50 Pro look like vivo smartphones. They will have a rectangular camera island with the sensors arranged in a rectangular form.
We are looking forward to learning more about the Redmi K50 series before its official announcement sometime later next month. Do let us know your expectations of the handsets in the comment section below.
