Lenovo has a pretty lengthy list of big announcements during the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC), Barcelona 2022. The company is refreshing the ThinkPad lineup with Snapdragon processors for faster performance in addition to 165Hz display refresh rates. Lenovo has indeed released a whole lot of ThinkPads and the X13s which are the latest iterations of the ThinkPad will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors. The lineup of ThinkPads also includes the X1 Extreme and new additions to the P- and T-series.

Concerning the Snapdragon-powered new ThinkPads. They sport the 16:10 aspect ratio after the company had earlier announced a transition from 16:9 to 16:10. The 16:10 model is looking roomier and taller than its predecessors. The ThinkPad X13s is the first Lenovo model to feature the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 chip which Qualcomm claims offers up to 60% improvement over other alternative platforms. The improvements are also shown in the enhanced battery life offered by the ThinkPad X13s to go with excellent portability.

The ThinkPad X13 weighs just 1.06kg which is a quite decent offering for a laptop. It is very easy to carry even with one hand. The absence of a cooling fan system contributed to the reduced weight of the X13 but the excellent cooling mechanism of the Snapdragon processor means minimal heat generation and overall efficiency. The model is also sturdy and is made from 90% recycled magnesium. The ThinkPad X13 lineup is priced from $1,099 and could be available in May 2022.Lenovo ThinkPad X13 2021
