Xiaomi‘s Mi Bands are one of the most affordable and popular fitness trackers in many markets. Currently, the company currently offers the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6 which was released almost a year ago. However, the next-gen tracker might be on the horizon as leaks have started to surface.

According to a fresh report by XDAdevelopers, the first few features of the upcoming fitness tracker dubbed the Mi Band 7 have been discovered via code found in Xiaomi’s own apps.
These codes indicate that the Mi Smart Band 7 will go by the codename “L66” and will have model numbers M2129B1 and M2130B1. It will feature a 192 x 490p resolution display with Always On Display support for a few watch faces, and a host of workout modes, ranging from Aerobics to Zumba. The leak has also revealed that the Mi Band 7 could feature built-in GPS support however, the inclusion of this feature still remains doubtful.
The code has further revealed that the Mi Band 7 will include a Smart Alarm feature, which will automatically wake you up from light sleep 30 minutes before your predefined alarm. And last but not the least, the fitness tracker will come with a Power Saving mode to improve battery life.
Currently, there is no word from Xiaomi on the next-gen Mi Band, however, considering that the company debuted the Mi Smart Band 6 at the end of March last year, we are sure to hear more about it in the days to come, so stay tuned.
