Rajasthan-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer HOP Electric Mobility has officially announced its very first e-motorcycle for India. Dubbed HOP OXO, the bike is currently undergoing testing in the country but is expected to be launched quite soon. You can still reserve one for yourself right now, though, for just Rs 999 with the freshly started pre-booking.
HOP was actually the first Indian EV manufacturer to perform a consumer-based trial for the electric bike and managed to clock over 30,000kms during testing (via 91mobiles). The company is looking to get real-life, road condition testing so as to address all issues and shortcomings of the bike during the beta phase itself.
Testing so far has been performed in over 20 cities including Jaipur, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Jodhpur, Ludhiana, and more.
Not much is known about the HOP OXO aside from the fact that it will offer a top speed of 100kmph and that will offer a range of up to 100km on a single complete charge of its swappable battery.
A teaser video uploaded on the microsite for the bike reveals that it will have sporty styling with disc brakes on the front and back.
Alternatively, the company also sells HOP LEO and LYF electric scooters in India.
