The new Samsung mobile store is located in Ahmedabad and is aimed at shoring up Samsung’s market share in the sub-continent by promoting the strength of Indian women. The new Samsung Smart Cafe offers customers a unique shopping experience with an all-female staff setup. The store manager, Samsung Experience Consultants, and other staff have received training on the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem as well as other specialized training including accounting, inventory management, and customer service.

Support for the staff comes in the form of the Employee Resource Group (ERG) and Women in Samsung Electronics (WISE) to help the women grow both professionally and in their personal lives. In a statement by Ken Kang, President, and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, the company is excited to set up the first all-women mobile store in India and it is confident about the new possibilities presented by the incredible team of Samsung women that are part of the initiative. The mobile store fits snugly into Samsung’s core values of people, excellence, and co-prosperity and, according to Kang, Samsung is focused on growing the number of women in its workplace. The company hopes to nurture the next generation of women leaders across the company through its various gender-friendly programs.
