An upcoming ZTE midrange phone with model number ZTE 8040N has been certified by the TENAA regulatory body of China. According to reliable tipster WHY LAB, this ZTE phone may debut as a Yaunhang series phone in China. To recall, the Chinese manufacturer had launched the ZTE Yuanhang 10 with Dimensity 700 chipset last year in April.

ZTE 8040N specifications

The ZTE 8040N smartphone measures 165.8 x 77.5 x 9.4mm and weighs 215 grams. It is a 5G-enabled device featuring a 6.67-inch LCD panel that produces an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The right side of the phone has a power button, which appears to be integrated with a fingerprint scanner.

The front side of the phone is fitted with an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The back panel of the phone seems to be made up of polycarbonate. It features a rectangle-shaped camera module, which houses a 48-megapixel primary camera. The main snapper is accompanied by a pair of 2-megapixel auxiliary lenses.

The ZTE 8040N is fueled by a massive 5,890mAh (rated value) battery, which indicates that its typical size could be 6,000mAh. The 3C certification of the device has revealed that it may carry support for 22.5W fast charging.

An unknown 2.4GHz octa-core processor is present under the hood of the ZTE 8040N. The handset is expected to arrive in China in 128 GB and 256 GB storage choices. Both models are expected to feature 8 GB of RAM. The listing further reveals that the device will arrive in two colors namely, Obsidian Black and Huansha Green. With TENAA certification under the tow, the device is expected to debut as early as this month in China.
