After teasing for the last few days, Xiaomi has finally launched the Redmi 10 in India as planned. The latest budget smartphone from the company is the successor of the Redmi 9 from 2020. It brings a new design and a better set of specs.

Redmi 10 Specifications and Features

The Redmi 10 features a plastic body like any other budget smartphone. It sports a new camera island design, which also includes a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The device comes in three colors, namely Midnight Black, Pacific Blue, and Caribbean Green.

The handset flaunts a 6.71-inch display (LCD) with a resolution of pixels (FHD+), a 60Hz refresh rate, and 400 nits brightness. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and has a dewdrop notch. It arrives with Widevine L1 certification for HD playback on popular streaming apps like Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+ Hotstar.

The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. It boots MIUI 13 based on Android 11.

For photography and videography, the handset uses a dual-camera system on the rear comprising of a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. Whereas, for selfies and video calls, there’s a 5MP shooter on the front.

The smartphone comes with dual SIM card slots, 4G connectivity, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, and GNSS. Other features include a dedicated MicroSD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, 

Finally, the Redmi 10 is backed by a 6,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. However, it ships with a 10W charger.

 

Redmi 10 Price and Availability in India

The Redmi 10 will retail at the following price tags in India.

  • 4GB + 64GB – ₹10,999
  • 6GB + 128GB – ₹12,999

The phone’s first sale is scheduled for at 12 PM on March 24. It will be sold via Mi.com, Mi Home stores, Flipkart, and partner retail stores. Customers can get a  flat ₹1,000 discount via HDFC Bank credit card transactions.
