The Roborock T8 robot vacuum cleaner has been unveiled by Roborock in its home market of China. The Roborock T8 is a dual-purpose robot that can vacuum and mop surfaces. It comes with a powerful 4.2 kPa suction and it can empty its content into the accompanying 470 ml bin. The device can also be scheduled to clean specific rooms at any time.
The Roborok T8 operates quietly despite its high suction power and it has a sound output of just 63 dB. The bin, according to Roborock is large enough to be emptied only 6 times a year. There are several other features in the Roborock T8 which is offered in China at an introductory price of around 2,295 yuan (~$361). Subsequently, the price will revert to its original value of around 2,800 yuan (~$440). The product is currently however available only on pre-order.
The Roborock T8 is capable of navigating obstacles up to 2cm in height and its two brushes are designed to collect dirt trapped even in difficult places within the room.
The T8 can be controlled through the user’s smartphone via the app or using voice commands. This is in addition to being able to schedule cleaning operations as you so desire. There are no details at this time on the global availability of the Roborock T8.
