The past few days have seen Xiaomi release a raft of smart home devices to its home market in China. The latest device to be unveiled is the Mijia Smart Dehumidifier which is capable of removing up to 22 liters of water in the air within the home daily. The Mijia Smart Dehumidifier also comes with multiple modes that allow it to quickly dry clothes spread in the room and enhance sleep.
The Mijia Smart Dehumidifier has been unveiled in China and it has a 1,299 yuan ($204) price tag but this will subsequently be increased to 1,499 yuan ($235). The smart dehumidifier has a 4.5-liter water tank or it can be connected directly to an external drain for longer use. The device operates with minimal noise due to its vertical air ducts and efficient DC inverter motor. It offers up to 8 hours of dehumidification in the room and the device automatically stops when the water tank becomes filled up.
The Mijia Smart Dehumidifier can be moved around thanks to the wheels at its base. It has a diameter of 11.8 inches and a height of 26 inches. Its built-in sensors can determine the humidity levels in a room and automatically proceed to improve air quality according to the preset mode.
The Mijia app or Xiao Ai voice commands are other layers through which the device can be controlled. As with much of the latest Xiaomi products, global availability details are not available yet. The Mijia Smart Dehumidifier is currently available for pre-order in China for 1,299 yuan ($204).
