Realme announced the Realme GT2 Pro today in India. The company also announced a slew of other products such as Realme 9 4G, Realme Book Prime, Realme Buds Air 3, and Realme Smart TV Stick. At the end of the launch event, the company not only announced the vanilla Realme GT2 for the country but also revealed its release timeline.

Realme will be celebrating its fourth anniversary on May 4 this year. The company confirmed that the vanilla Realme GT2 would be released during its fourth anniversary in India. The specifications of the device are already known since the handset has already been launched in global markets and China. Like the GT2 Pro, the GT2 will sport an environment-friendly paper-inspired rear shell and will come in three colors like Steel Black, Paper Green, and Paper White.

The Realme GT2 has a 6.62-inch AMOLED screen that offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, an in-screen fingerprint scanner, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The device features a 16-megapixel selfie camera, and its back panel has a Sony IMX766 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro snapper.

The Snapdragon 888 SoC is at the helm of the Realme GT2. In India, it may come with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It will boot to the Android 12 OS with Realme UI 3.0 on top. The GT2 packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging.

The Realme GT2 is likely to arrive with other Snapdragon 888 powered flagships in India, such as the OnePlus 9RT, Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, iQOO 9 SE, and Xiaomi 11T Pro. At present, there is no information on the pricing of the GT2 for India.
