The vivo Pad has been generating quite some hype for a while now, being the very first tablet offering from vivo, and multiple leaks over the past few weeks have revealed nearly all of its specifications. The device has been confirmed to launch on April 11 alongside the vivo X Note and vivo X Fold, and now that the day is nearly here, we’ve curated all there’s to know about it into a single piece.

Design and display

The vivo Pad has a fairly minimalistic overall look with a circular camera module — something that appears to have been standardized for vivo’s more premium offerings. Aside from the cameras, there isn’t much to the back of the device, which is flat. The edges look flat as well. vivo recently shared official live images of the tablet, which you can check out from here.

In terms of display, you get an 11-inch panel having a 2.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Dolby Vision support is also rumored to be present.

Cameras

For photography, the circular module at the rear houses a dual-camera setup comprising a 13MP primary unit and an 8MP secondary unit (ultrawide?). On the front, the device is said to house an 8MP camera that looks to be stuffed into the top bezel.

Performance

The vivo Pad will feature a Qualcomm octa-core chipset having one core clocked at 3.19GHz, three cores capable of going up to 2.42GHz, and four cores with a max clock speed of 1.80GHz. Going by the this chip, the chip appears to be none other than the Snapdragon 870 SoC, which is paired with the Adreno 650 GPU. The chip will be assisted by 8GB of RAM.

Pricing and availability

There’s no information on the pricing as of yet but Digital Chat Station previously did state that the vivo Pad has a “lower positioning,” meaning it will not be priced as much as other flagship tablets in the market. The launch for China is scheduled for April 11 and a global launch can be expected sometime after that.
