After the debut of ZTE’s Nubia Z40, the brand is headed towards the release of the Axon 40 phones in China. So far, we’ve seen a few models getting certified on TENAA and 3C websites, and some of those models are believed to be Axon 40 phones. In the newest development of the ZTE Axon 40 series, the brand itself has teased the phone’s display.

ZTE has shared a teaser poster for the upcoming ZTE Axon 40 series and we get to see the front panel of the phone. The smartphone has a full-screen display with no side bezels or noticeable camera holes. This means that the phone is using the under-display camera (UDC) technology similar to its predecessor, the Axon 30. The phone also appears to have narrow bezels on top and bottom.

Well, what we see on the teaser poster is a computerized image and the phone’s front may not be as similar as what we see here. However, if the screen on the Axon 40 turns out to be somewhat the same as the poster, it could be one of the phones from ZTE with the highest screen-to-body ratio.

Other than this, previously an Axon 40 phone with a model number A2023BH was spotted on TENAA certification. However, its selfie camera was visible on the front. It could be that this device will be another variant without an under-display camera.

To those unaware, the ZTE Axon 30 that launched last year had three models – Axon 30, Axon 30 Pro, and Axon 30 Ultra. Only the vanilla model had the UDC technology, others relied on the punch-hole camera. Similarly, this year too, we might see the A2023BH(Axon 40 model) with a visible selfie camera, while the variant that the brand teased could be a device with UDC technology.

A2023P

In addition to this, we recently saw a ZTE phone on 3C and Geekbench certification with model number A2023P. Now, this model number is similar to the A2023BH model hinting that this could be another Axon 40 model. The phone has 80W fast charging and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, as per certifications.
