Earlier this month, Vivo unveiled the Vivo X Note, Vivo X Fold, and Vivo Pad devices in China. Several reports have claimed that the company will be unveiling the X80 series later this month in the home market. On Sunday, the company released an official confirmation through its Weibo handle that the Vivo X80 lineup will be announced at 7:00 PM (local time) on April 25 in China.

While Vivo has confirmed that the “X80 series” will be announced on the said date, there is no confirmation on the number of devices that will be in the lineup. The X80 series probably includes the Vivo X80, Vivo X80 Pro, and Vivo X80 Pro+. The new teaser that the company has rolled out gives a good look at the design of the X80 series.

As can be seen in the screengrabs, the Vivo X80 series’ rear design will be almost identical to the Vivo X Note. The orange back of the device features a wide camera block with a quad-camera unit and an LED flash inside. The front of the device lineup features a punch-hole display.

Like its predecessor, the Vivo X70 series, the Vivo X80 lineup will offer professional photography experience. The camera system of the X80 has been co-developed with ZEISS. It is also expected to arrive with the company’s Vivo V1+ professional imaging chip. Rumors have it that Sony’s IMX886 will be first seen in the Vivo X80 lineup.

The Vivo X80 could be powered by the Dimensity 8100 SoC, whereas the X80 Pro may feature the Dimensity 9000 chip. The X80 Pro+ may come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The Chinese manufacturer is expected to give more information about the X80 line-up in the next few days before the official launch.
