Canada-based users of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 now have a couple of important health features activated in their devices. The recent firmware update of the Galaxy Watch 4 in Canada may have seen the blood pressure and electrocardiography (ECG) feature activated in the device.
This new update provides greater depth and functionality for Galaxy Watch 4 users which places the device on a higher pedestal. Galaxy Watch 4 series users in Canada will now be able to get more comprehensive health and fitness information from their devices. The updated Samsung Health Monitor app will provide the interface to enjoy a bouquet of services. The Galaxy Watch 4 series is compatible with Galaxy smartphones running on Android 7.0 and above.
Since the release of the Galaxy Watch 4 series last year, the BP monitor and ECG function have been dormant in the device. Part of the issues was related to regulatory requirements that ought to be met before the features could be certified fit for use in Canada. The latest firmware update makes the BP and ECG sensors to be active on Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic models in Canada. Upon update of the firmware, users will be able to enable the BP and ECG options inside the app. You can then calibrate the smartwatch to provide accurate readings of the two health statistics.
