Through numerous leaks and reports, we have learned that Apple will not be making an iPhone 14 Mini and will be replacing it with a large screen variant with the iPhone 14 series.

IPhone 13 mini

The reasoning behind this decision has most likely to do with Apple not being able to sell enough iPhone Minis to justify its existence. And now, a MacRumors report has revealed just how poorly the iPhone 13 Mini is performing in the US.

According to the report, the 5.4-inch iPhone 13 Mini sales have made up just 3% of the total iPhone sales in the US for the first quarter of 2022. Comparatively, the other ‌iPhone 13‌ models were much more popular and had the largest share of U.S. sales in several years.

The iPhone 13 models made up 71 percent of ‌iPhone‌ sales in the US in Q1 with the standard iPhone 13‌ moving the most volume at 38%. The 13 Pro and the 13 Pro Max weren’t as popular this quarter but still outsold the iPhone 13 Mini quite a lot.

For its next series of iPhones, Apple is said to debut the iPhone 14 Max which will offer a big 6.7-inch display, equivalent to the iPhone 14 Pro Max. However, the smartphone will come with a cheaper price tag compared to the iPhone 14 Pro Max and even the iPhone 14 Pro. The display of the iPhone 14 Max is also said to be a 120Hz refresh rate panel with LTPO technology and the device is rumored to come with the current-gen A15 Bionic chipset.
