The speculations and rumors surrounding the yet-to-be-released Google Pixel Watch are gradually unraveling. Google has filed a trademark for the Pixel Watch which could indicate that the device could be launched anytime from now, possibly within 2022. This news adds to the renders and leaks surrounding the Pixel Watch that has been on the radar for some time. The trademark filing was at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) which applied for the Pixel Watch trademark name.
As per the trademark filing itself, Google says the Pixel Watch will cover the categories of smartwatches, watch cases, smart wearable computers, smartwatch bands, and straps. It is unclear whether the date specified on the trademark filing (April 22, 3022) is correct, but the application has been accepted by the USPTO. The filing is reported to have met the minimum requirements and awaits the assigning of an examiner. The application process is expected to be concluded quickly and the Pixel Watch trademark is approved thereafter.
The Google Pixel Watch will come with cutting-edge features and innovations. It is rumored to feature Fitbit integration, a step counter, a heart rate monitor, and several other functionalities. It will likely come with a round face and without bezels. Google’s Wear OS 3.1 is the operating system that will be adorned in the Pixel Watch. A much-improved and interactive Google Assistant will also be featured in the Pixel Watch. We await official confirmation and further details from Google about the Pixel Watch.
