Earlier today, Vivo held a launch event in China for their latest flagship X80 series smartphones. The brand also launched the Vivo S15e smartphone at this event. So let’s take a look at its specifications and features in detail.

Design & Display

Vivo S15e

Design-wise, the Vivo S15e features a flat back panel with a rectangular camera module that slightly protrudes from the back. It has two vertically aligned circular cutouts to house a triple camera setup. The top houses the bigger primary camera while the bottom cutout houses two cameras. The LED flash is present on the right side of the camera module.

The device has rounded edges housing the power button and volume rockers on the right side. On the front, the device has a 6.4-inch waterdrop notch style AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The panel has a 90Hz refresh rate and 409ppi pixel density. The display also houses an in-display fingerprint scanner for security.

Powering the device is the Samsung Exynos 1080 SoC. The SoC comes paired with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The device packs a 4700 mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging. The phone runs Android 12-based Origin OS Ocean out of the box. In addition to the fingerprint scanner, the phone also features a face ID as an added security option.

For optics, the device comes with a triple camera setup headlined by a 50MP main camera sensor. Along with the primary camera, the Vivo S15e has a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera onboard. On the front, we get a 16MP snapper for selfies and video calls.

Pricing & Availability

Vivo has launched the device in three colors – Peach, Blue, and Black. Its pricing for the different variants is as follows:

  • 8GB + 128GB – 1999 Yuan ($304)
  • 8GB + 256GB – 2299 Yuan ($350)
  • 12GB + 256GB – 2499 Yuan ($391)

The device is available for pre-order right now in China. The first sale will commence on April 30.
