Audio products manufacturer Marshall has unveiled its smallest ever Bluetooth speaker named Willien. The Marshall Willien is a lightweight (0.31kg) and small (101.6 x 100.5 x 40.4mm) speaker with Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. The Marshall Willien will be released in the summer and it is priced at around $119. It will be available in select markets (the United Kingdom, US, etc).Marshall Willien Bluetooth speaker

The Marshall Willien is hyped to deliver heavy and high-quality sound under three presets. Its 2-inch full-range drivers and two passive radiators offer high-octane sound hardly associated with a small speaker. The speaker is dust and water-resistant with its IP67 rating. It delivers up to 15 hours of activity on a single charge. It is pretty fast to recharge the Marshall Willien – a 20-minute charge yields up to three hours of playback.

The audio capability of the Marshall Willien can be taken several notches higher by combining multiple Willien speakers via the Stack Mode. It is however unclear what are previous Marshall speakers not compatible with the feature. The Marshall Willien can also be used for making or receiving calls. It is a versatile device that seems to be some light years away from Marshall’s speakers of old. It is small but it can also sit on its side, back, or upright. There is also a rubber strap that makes it easy to attach the speaker to other devices.Marshall Willien Bluetooth speaker

Ordinarily, the Marshall Willien is entering a highly saturated portable Bluetooth speaker market. However, its features and affordability, together with Marshall’s brand identity, could spur the device on. It is unclear whether the Willien will be globally available in the summer when in berths in the US and UK.
