Earlier today at Computex 2022, the ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz gaming monitor was unveiled during Nvidia‘s presentation. So let’s take a look at what the new ROG monitor has in store for gamers.

As the name implies, the ROG Swift 500Hz is the first display to achieve a 500Hz refresh rate. It does so by using an E-TN panel (Esports TN) that is claimed to be 60% more responsive than a regular TN LCD panel. The display itself measures 24.1-inch in size and offers an FHD resolution (1920 x 1080).

The monitor also offers NVIDIA G-SYNC and comes with an improved mode for esports called “Esports Vibrance.” The Esports Vibrance mode allows for more light to pass through the LCD crystals, making the colors appear more vivid.

Other than the core features, the monitor also supports the NVIDIA Reflex Analyzer, which provides latency-related stats with just a few clicks. Nvidia has also tuned the monitor to provide optimal performance in current major E-sports FPS titles like CS:GO, Valorant, Overwatch, and Rainbow Six Siege.

The latest 500Hz monitor might now be everyone’s cup of tea with its 1080p resolution and 24.1-inch display size, however, the brand has made this monitor with E-sports enthusiasts and professionals in mind. So the monitor is likely to come with a hefty price tag whenever ASUS decides to make it available on the market.
